UNI EN ISO 17100:2017

Unlike the previous UNI-EN 15038:2006 certification, UNI EN ISO 17100:2017 has international validity and is issued following an in-depth audit that identifies all the necessary steps involved in supply of a quality translation service.

This standard mainly focuses on the qualifications and professional competences of in-house project managers, and of translators and proofreaders.

It also focuses on relationships with clients as well as understanding of their requirements and needs: the standard in fact emphasises in detail the various stages of project management, from quote to proofreading of the translated text, through to full compliance of the rules on management and confidentiality of the documents processed.
